Prior to the first year's eSafety Challenge event which took place 8/9 September 2009 in Rome, eSafetyAware has released an eSafety background paper. The 16 pages document provides an explanation of five eSafety technologies, their benefits as well as regulatory developments throughout the world. The five selected systems presented in the paper are: Electronic Stability Control, (ESC), Warning and Emergency Braking Systems, Lane Support Systems, Blind Spot Monitoring and Speed Alert.
