eSafety Challenge presented to automobile clubs from around the world



From 21-23 October 2009, the eSafety Challenge was present in Paris where 175 Automobile Clubs from all over the world participated in FIA meetings and in the FIA Foundation Annual General Meeting.

Jacob Bangsgaard speaking to automobile clubsIn his speech at the FIA Foundation Annual General Meeting, Jacob Bangsgaard, Director General of eSafetyAware and Director of International Relations of the FIA Foundation, presented the activities of eSafetyAware and the eSafety Challenge video was showed to the FIA Foundation members. The video promotes eSafety technologies and has received support from some of the world’s best drivers such as Michael Schumacher, Heikki Kovalainen, Robert Kubica, Timo Glock, Giancarlo Fisichella, Tom Kristensen, and Susie Stoddart.

During the three days, the eSafety Challenge stand was visited by a large number of delegates from the automobile clubs where they obtained information on the promoted eSafety technologies. Some of these clubs have been involved in eSafetyAware activities to raise national awareness of eSafety and more clubs will be involved in national events during the coming two years of eSafety campaigning.
