eSafety exhibition in Strasbourg/France

On 1 & 2 October 2010, the eSafety on Board truck took part in the "Village de la Mobilité responsable" in Strasbourg, organised by the French Automobile Club AFACA in the scope of the French round of the World Rally Championship (WRC). The event took place at the Zénith building, which was also the WRC Service Park, attracting thousands of spectators.

The village involved information stands from various mobility and road safety stakeholders. The eSafety on Board truck gave motorsport enthusiasts the opportunity to learn about the background and benefits of advanced vehicle safety technologies such as Electronic Stability Control, Lane Support Systems, Blind Spot Monitoring, Warning and Emergency Braking Systems, Speed Alert, and Adaptive Headlights. A video with supporting quotes from some of the world’s leading drivers such as Michael Schumacher, Heikki Kovalainen, Robert Kubica, Timo Glock, Giancarlo Fisichella, Tom Kristensen, and Susie Stoddart was also on show. Two eSafety on Board dummies handed out information material and took pictures with the many visitors of the park.

During an exhibition tour and reception for celebrities, media, national and local authorities, the exhibition was visited by Jean Todt, eSafetyAware and FIA President; Philippe Richert, President of the Regional Council; and ACAFA President Didier Bollecker. During his speech, eSafetyAware President Jean Todt highlighted the importance of eSafety technologies and their safety benefits.
