eSafetyAware President Jean Todt elected FIA President


eSafetyAware President, Mr. Jean Todt has been elected President of the FIA for a four-year term by the FIA General Assembly at its annual meeting in Paris on 23 October 2009.


The FIA membership voted as follows:
135 in favour of Jean Todt
49 in favour of Ari Vatanen
There were 12 abstentions/ invalid votes

In the press conference after the elections, Mr. Jean Todt has declared: "I like action. I like to make things go forward, and I am really happy to see so many countries choose me, but everything is yet to be done"

Mr. Todt was also elected President of eSafetyAware in April 2009 and is a strong supporter of eSafety technologies and its benefits.
