Marco Simoncelli, Honda Moto GP Rider and 250cc World Champion 2008, will attend this year's eSafety Challenge event on 30/31 May 2011 in Vienna/Austria.
The 24-year old Italian will join forces with racing stars Formula 1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel, 8-time 24hours Le Mans Winner Tom Kristensen, and Austrian sports car driver Alexander Wurz. The eSafety demonstrations performed by the quartet will be one of the highlights of the event.
Besides this, the programme will feature a high-level conference as well as a prize-giving ceremony recognising excellence in eSafety, an eSafety exhibition and hands-on driving sessions for participants. 300 delegates and journalists are expected to attend the high-level conference.
Speakers include FIA President Jean Todt; ÖAMTC President Werner Kraus; Herbert Anderl, Director-General for Public Security of Austrian Federal Ministry of the Interior; Herbert Kasser, Secretary General of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology; Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, Member of the European Parliament; and actress and Global Ambassador for Road Safety Michelle Yeoh.
